Block Hole
Frequently asked questions
How do you get bigger in Block Hole?
Swallow objects. Every object you consume adds to your size, which raises the size limit of what you can swallow next. You progress from traffic cones and bins up through cars and buses to entire buildings over the course of a round.
Can you swallow the rival holes?
Yes. Once you are about fifteen percent bigger than a rival hole you can swallow it whole. The same applies to you, so staying smaller than an aggressive rival like the Hunter is dangerous.
What do the mid-round events do?
Each event changes the rules temporarily. GOLD RUSH doubles all values, RUSH HOUR fills the roads with traffic, BLACKOUT removes the lighting, and TREMOR damages buildings so you can swallow far above your normal size limit. The final twenty seconds are a FEEDING FRENZY.
Do I lose my progress if a round goes badly?
No. Every round pays out cores that go toward permanent upgrades in the Garage, so even a short or unlucky round leaves you stronger for the next one.
What is the biggest thing you can swallow?
The landmark. Every district generates two of them - tall stepped skyscrapers with a red beacon on top - and they sit one full tier above the office towers. Reaching them takes most of a round, and they are worth more than three towers put together.
Does the game get harder as you win?
Yes. Each district has its own threat level from 1 to 5. Finishing first raises it by one permanently: rival holes start bigger than you and react faster. Losing never lowers it. Higher threat also pays more cores, which is what funds the Garage upgrades you need to keep winning.
