W/A/S/D move · Space jump · R reload · Q next weapon — on touch: left stick moves, right aims, FIRE shoots; Auto fires when you are on target
Cube Siege 3D is a voxel first-person shooter that runs on a custom WebGL engine straight in the browser — no plugin, no install, no launcher. You hold a position against waves of blocky mobs and try to still be standing when the next one arrives.
The roster is what keeps each wave from feeling the same. Zombies shamble in as chaff. Creepers rush you and explode, so they have to be dealt with at range. Skeletons snipe from distance, golems soak an unreasonable amount of ammo, spiders leap gaps you assumed were safe, hurlers coat the ground in poison, brutes wind up a visible charge, and phantoms simply fly over whatever cover you were relying on. Each one punishes a different lazy habit.
Headshots deal two and a half times damage, which is less a bonus than the actual economy of the game — ammo is finite and the wave is not, so landing head hits is what keeps you supplied. Loot blocks drop currency you spend mid-run on weapons and upgrades, meaning the shape of a run is decided by what you buy and when.
Wave modifiers stop any strategy from getting comfortable. BLACKOUT drops you into darkness. ELITE armours everything so only headshots land at all. HORDE simply sends far more than you can comfortably handle. Every fifth wave a boss shows up, and it changes its attack pattern as its health drops, so the phase that killed you last time is not the one that kills you next.
Emeralds earned during a run carry over into permanent Armoury upgrades, so no run is wasted even when it ends early. Desktop is WASD to move and mouse to aim — click the arena to lock the cursor — with R to reload and 1/2/3 to switch weapons. On touch there is a movement stick, a look area and on-screen fire and jump buttons.
WASD or arrow keys to move, mouse to aim (click the arena to lock the cursor), left-click to fire, SPACE to jump, R to reload, 1/2/3 (or Q) to switch weapons. On touch it is twin-stick: the left stick moves, the right stick aims, and the gun fires by itself whenever a mob is under the crosshair (you can switch that off in Settings). JUMP and a WEAPON button sit between the sticks - reloading is automatic. 5x damage.
Watch for creepers (they explode), brutes glowing red (they are about to charge) and orange rings on the ground (poison is landing there).
